Austin Reaves and his bikini rocking girlfriend have themselves a Labor Day Weekend on a boat

Lakers guard Austin Reaves is entering a new chapter both on and off the court after securing a long-term contract extension and spending a relaxed Labor Day weekend in Mexico with his longtime girlfriend.
Reaves, who went undrafted in 2021 out of Arkansas-Little Rock, has emerged as one of the league’s most reliable young guards. His breakout season came in 2023–24, where he averaged a career-high 23.0 points per game while helping lead the Lakers back to the playoffs. That strong performance helped solidify his status as a core piece of the franchise moving forward.
On the court, Reaves has shown remarkable growth since joining the team. His ability to score efficiently and contribute in key moments has drawn praise throughout the organization. Now, with a fresh four-year contract in hand, the 26-year-old is expected to take on a larger leadership role alongside star forward LeBron James, who recently announced his departure from the team.
While initial reports suggested Reaves could command up to $185 million over the life of his new deal, sources indicate that he ultimately agreed to a $180 million package — a move seen by many as a sign of his commitment to winning and building something special in Los Angeles.
“Austin understands what it means to be part of something bigger,” said one team insider familiar with the negotiations. “His willingness to adjust his deal speaks volumes about his character.”
Off the court, Reaves appears to be enjoying life away from basketball. Over the Labor Day weekend, he was photographed relaxing aboard a boat in Mexico with girlfriend Jenna Barber, who was spotted wearing a bikini as they soaked up the sun together. The images were widely shared online, further fueling fan excitement around the rising star.
Barber, a former college volleyball player, has been linked to Reaves for several years. Their relationship has remained largely private, but moments like these offer fans a glimpse into their personal lives during downtime from the NBA season.
Now reunited with teammates including Luka Dončić, Reaves enters training camp with high expectations. With James gone and a new era beginning in L.A., the spotlight is shining brighter than ever on him and the rest of the roster.
Still, those close to him say nothing has changed in terms of focus or drive.
“He’s always been grounded,” added another source. “Hard work got him here, and he doesn’t take any of it for granted.”
