Professional Wrestling Legend Benjamin “Pac” Satterley Dies at 40

Chicago, IL – Sept. 27 – Professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, who performed under the names Pac, Neville and Adrian Neville, was pronounced dead after police found him unconscious in his rental vehicle in Des Plaines, Illinois, on Thursday. The 40‑year‑old wrestler was in the midst of a trip to the United Kingdom when the fatal incident occurred.

According to a police report released to media outlets, the Des Plaines officer who arrived at the scene noted no visible injuries or suspicious markings on Satterley. The only physical evidence mentioned was dried saliva on his shirt. The officer also observed that Satterley’s mobile phone was still running Google Maps, which was directing him toward O’Hare International Airport in Chicago. The airport is roughly 20 miles from the site of AEW’s All Out event, which had taken place a few days earlier.

While in the vehicle, the officer found a backpack containing medication, although the specific prescription names were omitted from the public report. Hotel key cards were also recovered from the driver’s seat. An officer reported that the phone had been buzzing; when the call was answered, a woman on the line informed the officer that Satterley was headed to Cava for lunch. The call also confirmed that he was scheduled to return to the United Kingdom that same day.

Police investigators have stated that there were no signs of foul play and that the death was not considered suspicious. However, the exact cause of Satterley’s death has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.

The wrestling community reacted with widespread shock and sorrow. Notable figures such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and British wrestler Will Ospreay posted tributes on social media, expressing their grief and honoring the athlete’s legacy. The All Elite Wrestling (AEW) organization paid tribute with an emotional broadcast on Wednesday, featuring wrestlers wearing armbands bearing the name “Pac.” The tribute show included a poignant promo from fellow wrestler Jon Moxley and highlighted Satterley’s accomplishments within the promotion.

Pac began his career in WWE, where he was known as Adrian Neville. After leaving WWE, he joined AEW in 2019 and adopted the ring name Pac. During his tenure, he captured multiple championships in both WWE and AEW, earning a reputation for high‑flying, technically sound wrestling and a dedicated fan base worldwide.

Satterley’s passing has left a void in the pro‑wrestling world, and many fans and colleagues continue to mourn his loss. The cause of death remains unknown, and authorities have urged anyone with additional information to come forward. In the meantime, the wrestling community and fans are rallying around the families and friends of the late star, hoping for clarity and closure.
