When I woke up Tuesday morning, Aug. 4, and read the front-page story “Biddeford resident wants to turn grief into peace — One stitch at a time,” I felt an overwhelming sense of hope for our communities and our great state of Maine.
People actually care about the family of Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, grieve for his senseless
murder and do not carry on as if this is “business as usual.” I share the grief of the Biddeford community and am deeply grateful for this act of kindness and caring.
