As a synagogue-going Jewish Mainer with two small kids, I am frightened by the rise of synagogue shootings across the country and around the world.
The congregational rabbis of Maine think that when political leaders call what’s happening in Gaza a “genocide” it makes my family less safe. I think that what is happening in Gaza is what makes my family less safe.
I call it a genocide, but whether one calls it a genocide, ethnic cleansing or war crimes, it has to stop. I want Maine’s rabbis and political leaders to focus on ending U.S. taxpayer funding for the death and destruction of Palestinian lives.
