Man Arrested After Body Found in Brunswick Home

A man was taken into custody on Tuesday night after a body was discovered at a Brunswick residence. Police responded to 5 Valerie Avenue in the early hours, around 12:55 a.m., following reports of gunshots.

Brunswick Police Department officials said a deceased male was found on the property. The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for an autopsy to determine the identity of the victim and the cause of death. The investigation is being assisted by the Maine State Police and the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
